Love the start of this song. You have to make a pick on the lyrics – and it’s not often easy, but it starts, “Please excuse my American eyes; they put roses where roses shouldn’t be.” Which, what could be more American than that? The concept of roses for eyes, or more known, rose colored glasses – yep, been there.. blissfully unaware.
But, more literally: “I always confuse what we have for love.” – #brutal. I honestly don’t know if it gets worse than that. Hence, the victor.
