1. Our Commitment
overheard.xyz is committed to maintaining a safe environment free from child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). We have zero tolerance for any content or behavior that exploits or endangers minors.
2. Age Requirement
Users must be at least 16 years of age (or the minimum age of digital consent in their jurisdiction, whichever is higher) to use overheard.xyz. Users between 16 and 18 must have parental or legal guardian consent. We actively enforce this requirement during registration.
3. Prohibited Content and Conduct
The following are strictly prohibited on our platform:
- Any content that sexually exploits or endangers minors, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
- Grooming or solicitation of minors
- Any content that sexualizes minors in any way
- Sharing, distributing, or requesting exploitative content involving minors
- Any attempt to contact minors for inappropriate purposes
4. Detection and Reporting
We employ the following measures to detect and prevent CSAE:
- Automated content moderation systems to detect prohibited material
- User reporting mechanisms accessible throughout the app (report button on all content and profiles)
- Manual review of flagged content by trained moderation staff
- Immediate removal of violating content upon detection
5. Law Enforcement Cooperation
We report all identified CSAM and child exploitation to:
- The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) via CyberTipline
- Relevant national and regional law enforcement authorities
- Local authorities as required by applicable laws (including Turkish Law No. 5651 and EU regulations)
We fully cooperate with law enforcement investigations and preserve evidence as required by law.
6. Enforcement Actions
When CSAE violations are identified, we take immediate action including:
- Immediate removal of the violating content
- Permanent suspension of the offending account
- Preservation of evidence for law enforcement
- Filing reports with NCMEC and relevant authorities
- Blocking associated devices and identifiers to prevent re-registration
7. In-App Reporting
Users can report child safety concerns directly within overheard.xyz by:
- Tapping the report icon on any post, comment, or user profile
- Selecting "Child Safety" as the report reason
All child safety reports are prioritized and reviewed within 24 hours.
